Birthline has purchased a number of Bank Bottles For Babies and we are ready to send them out to churches and/or groups.
If you have a church Respect Life person, have them call our office for information on how to get this going. If you do not, simply get the approval from your pastor to do the following:
a) Obtain four to six Bank Bottles For Babies from the Birthline office. The bottles have an attractive insert with information on Birthline as well as a meaningful scripture.
b) Place a small notice in your church bulletin informing the people that there will be several volunteers at different exit locations. Ask them if they might consider contributing any change they have in their wallet, purse or pocket. Of course, dollar bills or checks are always welcome as well.
c) Some churches might prefer to have a bottle follow the collection plate.
d) If possible, have someone include what you are doing with other announcements.
e) Arrange for the bottles to be delivered to a safe holding place immediately after your services.
f) If you do not have someone from your church that can bring the bottles to the Birthline office, just call us and we will find a volunteer to go and pick them up.
NOTE: If you have events such as pancake breakfasts or spaghetti dinners, you might place a bottle on each table for contributions of change.
The Bank Bottles For Babies is a good program to consider doing on Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Respect Life Month, and/or Christmas.
