THE CELLPHONE PROGRAM
Dear Friends of Birthline,
To ensure the continuation of our services, we are launching this exciting fundraiser. It will be an ongoing event, and hopefully you will consider helping us out with it. 
We are collecting cell phones (working or non working) and turning them over to a corporation that refurbishes them then sends them to countries that are just getting into using cellular. This company (also a non-profit) pays us for every qualifying phone that we give them. 
Find a good size box or basket. Make a sign (sample enclosed) to attach to the box that tells them it is the cellular phone drop-off box. Place the box/basket (or more than one if possible) in locations where they can be easily seen,
Put a small announcement about it in your Sunday bulletin, and
When the box/basket gets near full, have someone call us, and we will arrange for the phones to be picked up.
NOTE:
If a name and address are attached to a donated phone,
we will send a tax receipt to the donor.
We hope you can help us with this fundraiser. It will be an important, ongoing program that will help us to keep our doors open and to help hundreds of single mom’s who have chosen to carry their babies as a result of their visit to our pregnancy and resource center.
